Purchased this after doing quite a bit of research. I sold my DIY X-Carve and wanted something without belts and wheels and a little smaller for my workshop size. I have experience with the X-Carve and CAMaster industrial CNC machines using Easel and V-Carve.
The TTC6050 is well packaged and thoughtfully built. It is easy to assemble, however, I do wish the instructions were more explicit regarding the pins, but that could have been my issue (I got them installed, but I did take a part back off to install them because the instructions put more emphasis on the screws over the pins). The manual is nicely designed and printed, but is light on text. There are plenty of YouTube videos out there to watch for assembling as well.
The machine is impressive overall. My concerns are that the zero X and Y homing stops that are pre-assembled don't seem to be in quite the right locations. When my machine homes, it crashes into the Y and X positions, so I do not home it anymore until I can make some adjustments. Another concern is the Z carriage, which is relatively small probably to keep the Z axis from being too tall. My first cuts with the machine were for a v carve and the settings were a little too deep and the Z carriage racked and loosened. I disassembled the front of the Z assembly to get to the carriage and tightened its screws. It is back to normal, but even though it can use a larger spindle or trim router, I fear the weight of them would be problematic on the small carriage.
In the short time I've had it, I've successfully cut a small 2D sign using Easel and a 3D relief sculpture using Kiri:Moto for CAM tools. The quality was excellent with both. I need to find some better documentation on the Z probe because it does not work with Easel and when I use it with gcode from other CAM apps run directly from the controller via SD, the machine does not account for the Z probe lift and it starts cutting in the air...
Overall I believe the machine is a great value and the wiki is good if you take the time to read it!
I ordered a rotary at the same time as the TTC6050 and the rotary was shipped separately. FedEx lost or destroyed it and it never was delivered and I'm out $130 because FedEx won't take responsibility and Twotrees won't get back to me.
